Sa Trinxa’s origin dates back to the 1970‘s when it was a little chiringuito, a simple beach eatery. It came a long way to become a landmark of the island.

Photo by laurenzo Melissari First, there is the beautiful environment of Salinas Beach with its cristal clear and turquoise coloured water. Sa Trinxa sits at the very end of Salinas Beach in the direction of Ibiza City.

So, we have the beach, the Mediterranean Sea, the enchanting music and finally, there are the customers themselves who often see a lunch at Sa Trinxa’s as an opportunity to warm up for a party. The result has been unmistakable for 45 years: big smiles everywhere. SaTrinxa has managed to stick to their traditions and keep it "roots". So finally: this is one of the best "Ibiza chiringuitos"! Please note that this beach eatery is geared towards and adult crowd, as the vibe can slip a bit on the decadent side. It is crowded, loud and the prices are OK. The experience is priceless.

Entertainment

Then, Sa Trinxa stands for its famous Balearic Music starting with lounge grooves, growing quicly to more pumping house tunes. This phenomenal sound is played by various DJs amongst them legend of this genre "Jon Sa Trinxa" - see picture -. Jon Sa Trinxa has been DJing since 1987; he started in the rave scene, in clubs and moved on to the beaches. To Salinas Beach in particular, where his “home” restaurant Sa trinxa -as he calls it with affection- is located. Since 1995, he played in Ibiza’s large clubs: for “Manumission” at Privilege, for “Made in Italy” at Pacha, for “We Love” at Space, or at Amnesia to name but a few. He is a trademark Balearic DJ, playing the smooth and relaxed lounge sound. Jon recalls his first year at Sa Trinxa: “I had my own sound system, and I played every day, all day and loved every second. The same people came every day and it grew like a family, I made more friends that summer that I had my whole life.” He is an Ibiza original... and an original Ibiza DJ, featuring the longest residency in Ibiza: he has played at restaurant Sa Trinxa without interruption since 1994! Jon released a dozen mix compilation albums, and his tracks appear on as many other CDs.

The Kitchen

Then, there is Sa Trinxa’s simple food served by their attentive and friendly service team. Try any of the salads or the homemade lasagne.

Practical notes Paying parking is available at around 6€ per day per car. Sa trinxa is on Salinas one of Ibiza´s good sandy beaches, although the shore just in front of the restaurant is made of rocks.
