Agrotourism is a way to discover Ibiza in a rural environment also known as Rural Tourism. Agrotourismos are found in smaller villages. Due to the fact that any agroturimso has to be an active producer of fruits or vegetables, they are mostly found in isolated countryside, nested since generations on a large plot of land away from any urban nucleus.

In order to be classified as agrotourism, a property must make a part of its income from the land.

The main attraction of agrotourism is the possibility of being in contact with nature, calm, honest cuisine made with locally grown fresh products, and sometimes the possibility to meet authentic farm people, learning about their lives, food production and harvesting. In Ibiza, around 30 old farming country houses have been converted into country hotels, in the majority of cases in the luxury segment. Trend: some agroturismo settings are so attractive that international fashion shows, magazine shootings and product launches are held there. This demonstrates that "chic countryside" is very fashionable and a trendy way to stays away from the hustle and bustle of cities. Here is a selection of a few amazing farm hospitality offers, chosen for the quality of the environment, services, food and atmosphere.

ATZARÓ AGROTURISMO We start our tour with one of the first Agrosturismos in Ibiza, and certainly the most well-known due to the famous events they hold each year. Located in the middle of the island, Atzaró Agroturismo is a 13-hectare property with a farm that produces 300,000 kg of clementines, nava oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruits. In addition, Atzaró has a large orchard that allows to offer its customers a “zero km” meal, that is, from the field to the plate. At the stylistic level, Atzaró is a fusion between rural Ibiza and Asia, in architecture, materials and decorative objects.

The rooms are arranged like a village with slow meanders and abundant orange groves, The cottages are decorated with traditional soft white plaster walls, rustic woods, terracotta floors and luxurious marble bathrooms.

The food at Atzaró Agroturismo is an interesting experience both for the quality and for the beauty of the restaurants. The fresh water pool, the SPA, See the related article "Best Spas in Ibiza", the "boutiques", the possibility of holding private events such as weddings are some of the additional advantages of this charming place.

Our tip: book a suite with its private pool, its Balinese bed and its beautiful pond.
